About Calvillo
Calvillo is guava country: a small city in a green valley in the southwest of Aguascalientes, ringed by orchards and the Sierra del Laurel. In the center, the parish of the Señor del Salitre with its enormous dome faces a plaza of orange trees, and the stepped Calle de las Graditas climbs between colorful facades. Visitors follow the Guava Route to taste sweets and liqueurs, tour the old cantinas, and head out to the Malpaso and La Codorniz reservoirs or the cave paintings at El Tepozán.
