    About Candela

    Candela is a very small desert town in eastern Coahuila, near the Nuevo León line, backed by rugged mountains. People come to cool off and slow down: Los Carrizitos is a string of pools fed by clean mountain water and a favorite spot for a carne asada, Las Lajitas is a stretch of the Candela river running over flat slabs of rock, and El Ojo de Agua is a warm thermal spring. Large ranches spread out around the town.
