About Cosalá
Cosalá is an old silver-mining town in the foothills of the Sierra Madre in Sinaloa, a couple of hours from Culiacán. Its cobbled streets and low colonial houses lead to the 18th-century church of Santa Úrsula and a small Museum of Mining and History with old photographs, tools, carriages and mineral samples. Outside town are the Vado Hondo waterfall and swimming holes, the Gruta México cave with its stalactites, and reservoirs known for largemouth bass fishing.
