Sinaloa's Pueblos Mágicos are small colonial towns in the foothills of the Sierra Madre, and Culiacán is the nearest big city to all three. Mocorito, with its plaza and chilorio, is under two hours north. For a weekend, Cosalá is the prettiest: a seventeenth-century silver town of cobbled streets and a mine museum, with a hanging bridge and waterfall nearby. San Ignacio, further south toward Mazatlán, is a quiet riverside village of red-tile roofs.
Best months for the area: Jan, Feb, Dec (when most of these towns are dry with comfortable afternoons)

Getting there
Culiacán has its own airport, Culiacán (CUL), so you can fly in and rent a car there.
A car is the easiest way to reach most of these towns; the bigger ones also have direct buses from Culiacán. Each pueblo's page has its own getting-there notes.
Drive times are from OpenStreetMap routing without traffic. Times marked ~ are estimated from the distance and may run longer on mountain roads.
