About Hidalgo del Parral
Hidalgo del Parral, simply Parral to most people, is an old silver-mining city in southern Chihuahua that grew up at the foot of the La Prieta hill. Because houses were built as close to the mine as possible rather than on a grid, the center is a tangle of narrow streets and alleys that still feels colonial. Today it is a regional trading town where visitors come for the mining heritage and the historic core.
