    About Viesca

    Viesca is a quiet desert town in the Comarca Lagunera of Coahuila, about 70 km from Torreón. Its best-known sight is the Dunas de Bilbao, a field of sand dunes where people go sandboarding or simply walk and take photographs. In town you can see the old salt works, cool off at the Juan Guerra spring park, and visit the house where Miguel Hidalgo stopped during the War of Independence.
