About Múzquiz
Múzquiz, formally Ciudad Melchor Múzquiz, is a small city in northern Coahuila that sits where the Sabinas River rises. It began as a Spanish frontier garrison in the 1730s and is named for a local son, Melchor Múzquiz, who served as president of Mexico in 1832. It is a quiet base for getting to know the history and landscape of this corner of the north.
