About Tetela de Ocampo

Tetela de Ocampo is a mountain town in Puebla's Sierra Norte, in a region where Nahua communities still live. Its plaza is framed by the 1808 parish of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción and a French-style municipal palace that houses the Los Tres Juanes museum. A hilltop cross gives wide views of the town and surrounding peaks, and nearby outings include the Acocomoca caves, the Aconco waterfalls and the old mining village of La Cañada.
