Mulegé and Bahía Concepción

A region of Baja California Sur

The oasis town of Mulegé on its palm-lined river and, just south, the long and sheltered Bahía Concepción, lined with small pale beaches such as Santispac, El Coyote and El Requesón where people camp under palapas. Cave paintings hide in the sierra inland, and the old copper town of Santa Rosalía is about an hour north.
