A region of Baja California Sur
Hundreds of desert islands and islets in the Sea of Cortez, most of them uninhabited and protected together with coastal areas as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2005. They are reached by boat from La Paz, Loreto, Mulegé or Bahía de los Ángeles, for sea lion colonies, seabirds, kayaking and snorkeling in clear water.
