Costa Esmeralda (Veracruz)

A region of Veracruz

A long, straight run of Gulf beach in northern Veracruz, south of Tecolutla, lined with small hotels, campgrounds and fishing villages along the coastal highway toward Nautla. It fills up with families from Mexico City, Puebla and Xalapa at Easter and in summer, and is the nearest beach to El Tajín and Papantla.
