About Croco Cun
Croco Cun is a small zoo on Highway 307 about 2 km north of Puerto Morelos, between Cancún and Playa del Carmen. It started out as a crocodile farm, later took in rescued animals, and now presents itself as a conservation and education centre; most of its animals were rescued, donated or placed in its care by Mexico's environmental authorities.
Visits are by guided tour only, lasting about 60 to 75 minutes and leaving continuously through the day. The walk passes crocodiles of several species and sizes, then enclosures with deer, ocelots, turtles, boas and spider monkeys, all native to the region. Guides let visitors touch, hold or feed some of the animals under supervision, which makes it popular with families; a bag of feed is sold separately and one per group is enough.
The grounds are shaded jungle, so repellent helps. Photography is free, but flash and tripods are not allowed, and food is not permitted during the tour. Pets cannot enter. The zoo has its own parking and a café, and it pairs easily with a morning in Puerto Morelos or at the botanical garden 4 km south.

Drive from Playa del Carmen: 25 min, 35 km
Croco Cun is on Highway 307 (Cancún–Tulum) about 2 km north of the Puerto Morelos junction and roughly 30 km south of Cancún. By car there is free parking. Colectivo vans between Cancún and Playa del Carmen stop at the entrance on request.
