Pueblos Mágicos near Ciudad Obregón

3 within 3½ hours · 0 under 2 hours

Ciudad Obregón is a farming city with no Pueblo Mágico at its door, but three are within a weekend's drive. Álamos, two hours southeast, is the jewel: a silver-mining town of arcaded mansions and a winter music festival, in the foothills of the Sierra Madre. San Carlos, on the coast past Guaymas, has the famous twin-peaked Tetakawi hill and some of the best diving in the Gulf of California. El Fuerte, across the line in Sinaloa, is the colonial start of the Copper Canyon railway.
