Nature reserve 10 km north of San José de Gracia
An adventure park in the Potrerillo canyon: hanging bridges over the reservoir, zip lines, via ferrata and cabins.
Boca de Túnel is a rocky canyon in the Sierra Fría north of San José de Gracia, where the small Potrerillo reservoir fills the bottom between reddish cliffs. The name means "tunnel mouth": nearby, an underground waterway about three kilometers long carries water through the mountain toward the Presa 50 Aniversario.
The canyon is now an adventure park. A circuit of more than a dozen hanging bridges links the rock walls, the longest stretching about 150 meters across the water, and two zip lines fly over the reservoir. There is also a via ferrata, rappelling, and a viewpoint over the canyon. Doing the full circuit with a harness and guide takes about an hour and a half to two hours, depending on your pace, and some packages end with a boat ride back.
If you want to stay, the park has a campground and cabins with terraces and grills looking over the water. It makes an easy half-day add-on to a visit to San José de Gracia and the Cristo Roto.
