Beach 14 km southeast of Todos Santos
The friendliest surf beach on this coast: gentle waves for beginners, surf schools, and one of the few places here you can swim.
Los Cerritos is a long, wide beach on the Pacific just south of El Pescadero, about 15 minutes from Todos Santos, and it is the most popular beach in the area. A rocky headland at its southern end shelters part of the bay, so the waves there are softer and more regular than on the open beaches nearby, which makes it a favorite place to learn to surf.
That shelter also makes it one of the few beaches on this stretch of coast where swimming is reasonably possible. Most beaches around Todos Santos have strong shore breaks and currents, and even at Cerritos the sea can turn rough, so check conditions and swim near other people.
The beach has grown up a lot: surf schools and board rentals line the sand, there is a beach club with a restaurant and umbrellas, and hotels and vacation homes now spread over the hills behind it. In winter you can often see humpback whales passing offshore.

Getting there
From Todos Santos, drive south on Highway 19 toward Cabo San Lucas, past El Pescadero, and take the signed turnoff toward the sea; the drive is about 15 to 20 minutes. Buses between Todos Santos and Cabo San Lucas run along the highway, but the beach is a walk from the road, so a car or taxi is easier. There is parking near the beach club.
