About Paradise Village Marina

Paradise Village Marina is a private marina in Nuevo Vallarta, on the Nayarit side of Banderas Bay, in the municipality of Bahía de Banderas. It sits in a small, protected estuary inside the Paradise Village resort, a gated community of hotel, condominiums and villas on Avenida Paseo de los Cocoteros, near the south end of Nuevo Vallarta's long beach and about fifteen minutes from the Puerto Vallarta airport.

The marina has about 200 berths on double-fingered concrete docks, for boats from 26 to 240 feet, with an end tie for the largest yachts, and an average depth of about 15 feet at zero tide. Services include metered shore power up to 100 amps (and 480 volts for megayachts), potable water, pump-out, security gates and cameras, a launch ramp, dry storage for trailerable boats and a harbor master's office that monitors VHF channel 16 around the clock and can handle clearance paperwork. There is no fuel dock: gasoline and diesel are at Marina Vallarta across the bay. Its sheltered water makes it a popular summer hurricane hole for cruising sailors, and it holds a Clean Marina certification. Boaters can use the resort's pools, beach, spa, golf and restaurants, and the Vallarta Yacht Club has its headquarters overlooking the docks.

For visitors without a boat, the marina is mostly a place to look at yachts, eat in the resort's restaurants or the shopping center that belongs to the complex, and board charter boats for sport fishing or a cruise on the bay, where sailfish are caught all year. The marina hosts sailing events such as the Paradise Cup and promotes the Banderas Bay Regatta, one of the best-known regattas in Mexico. Note that in 2022 the Nayarit government began calling Nuevo Vallarta "Nuevo Nayarit", so you may see both names.
