About Balneario Los Limones
Los Limones is a family balneario inside the city of Cuautla, on calle del Centinela, close to the main plaza. Visit Morelos, the state tourism portal, gives the address as Centinela 10, Centro, while other directories say Centinela 14, colonia Emiliano Zapata. It is a neighbourhood place: no famous hotel and no theme-park rides, just somewhere to spend the day with children.
The Visit Morelos entry lists a children's area with slides, basketball and frontón courts, and green areas. Other guides add three pools, a splash pool, grills, changing rooms, parking, a restaurant and room to camp. Several listings mention a clear stream and spring water, which other Cuautla balnearios also claim; no official source gives a temperature or the exact origin, so we do not treat either as settled.
It has its own Facebook page, linked from Visit Morelos, but We could not read its content. The practical details vary a lot between directories: it opens at 8:00, 8:30 or 9:00 and closes at 18:00, and the adult entrance fees quoted run from 70 to 140 pesos. A travel guide more than two years old mentions uneven upkeep and slides that sometimes do not run. We found no 2025 or 2026 press about this balneario, so confirm by Facebook or phone that it is open and what it charges on the day you go.
How to get to Balneario Los Limones
Drive from Cuernavaca: 45 min, 54 km
Los Limones is on calle del Centinela (number 10 or 14, depending on the directory), in central Cuautla, under 1 km straight-line from Plaza Revolución del Sur (approx.), so you reach it on foot or with a short taxi ride from the plaza or the bus waiting rooms.
From Mexico City the drive takes roughly 1 h 30 to 2 h 40 depending on traffic: leave by the Autopista del Sol (95D) and take the Mexico-Cuautla / Tepoztlan-Cuautla highway (115D), per an ADN40 piece (August 2026) about another Cuautla balneario. By bus, Pullman de Morelos runs from Taxqueña (Terminal Sur) to Cuautla every hour in about 1 h 40 (Rome2Rio); Estrella Roja runs every two hours, and TAPO has departures every 30 minutes but roughly 3 hours on the road. Cuautla has no single bus station: per Wikivoyage (possibly out of date), each line has its own waiting room, for example ADO/OCC at 2 de Mayo 97. From there Centinela is a short taxi ride.
From Tlayacapan, the nearest pueblo listed, it is about 16 km in a straight line (roughly 20 minutes by car); there are buses from Cuernavaca to Cuautla, though a 2023 local report criticises the service.
