    About Aqua Splash

    Aqua Splash is a water park on the Jojutla-Tequesquitengo road, at kilometer 4.4 according to Wikivoyage and Yumping (El Universal writes 44). It is a few minutes from the lake but not on its shore: the draw is its pools, not the lake water.

    Yumping says it has eight pools for children and adults, about 7,000 square meters of water in all, a double-wave pool, and slides with names such as Kamikaze, Stuka, Robo Surfer, Chapuzón and Aqua Tubo. El Universal adds a natural jacuzzi with hydromassage, an open slide, a children's water area and volleyball, soccer and basketball courts, plus a restaurant serving regional dishes and snack stands. On weekends and holidays there is live music and soccer matches on a giant screen.

    The park rents camping space and tents, and has villas priced separately: El Universal mentions Villas Platino at 3,500 pesos and Villas Elite at 3,000, without saying whether that is per night or per group. Adult entry is 160 pesos and 80 for children according to El Universal, and Wikivoyage gives the same 160 and hours of 9:00 to 18:00. Call 734 343 3424 before going, especially on weekdays.

    How to get to Aqua Splash

    Drive from Cuernavaca: 45 min, 48 km

    Aqua Splash is at kilometer 4.4 of the Jojutla-Tequesquitengo road, about 13 km as the crow flies from Tlaltizapán and a few minutes from Lake Tequesquitengo. From Mexico City El Universal says about 2 hours: take the Mexico-Cuernavaca highway, then the Mexico-Acapulco (95D) south, and exit toward Jojutla; the road to Tequesquitengo starts there. From Cuernavaca it is about 40 minutes.

    By bus, Pullman de Morelos leaves Cuernavaca for Jojutla about every 20 minutes (Wikivoyage), and from the Terminal Sur (Taxqueña) there are departures to Jojutla. From the Galeana terminal in Jojutla, open 5:30 to 21:20, take a taxi along the road toward Tequesquitengo; the sources give no public transit route to the gate.
