Eterna Primavera

A word on the name first: Eterna Primavera is a small community in the municipality of Temixco, not Cuernavaca, the city nicknamed "of eternal spring". The name echoes that nickname, and the climate of the area is mild for much of the year. It sits at 1,318 m above sea level on slopes west of the built-up area, on the line between Temixco and Cuernavaca; its postal code is 62595.

It has filled in quickly: INEGI counted 197 residents in 2000, 510 in 2010 and 1,088 in 2020. Catholics make up most of the population (785 people), with 160 Protestants and 143 with no religion, according to census figures gathered on Citypopulation. Because it straddles the boundary between two municipalities, it had a well-known water problem: part of the colonia belongs to Cuernavaca and Temixco's water system could not supply it without a dispute. La Jornada Morelos reported that after about 15 years the two councils agreed on a water supply.

It is not a tourist stop and there is nothing to review. What lies nearby is the best of Temixco: the Xochicalco archaeological site, a World Heritage Site, is in the neighbouring municipality of Miacatlán, and Acatlipa and Cuentepec, the two oldest communities of Temixco, already existed before the Triple Alliance of 1428, according to Wikipedia (en).
