From the port of Manzanillo, the nearest Pueblo Mágico is Comala, the white town of Juan Rulfo's novel under the Colima volcano, about an hour and a quarter inland. Everything else is up in the Jalisco sierra and best done as a weekend: Tapalpa and Sayula in just over two hours, then the cabin town of Mazamitla and the mariachi birthplace of Cocula. Mascota and Talpa de Allende, in the mountains behind Puerto Vallarta, round out the longer options.
Best months for the area: Jan, Mar, Nov, Dec (when most of these towns are dry with comfortable afternoons)

Getting there
Manzanillo has no airport with scheduled flights; the usual one to fly into is Colima (CLQ).
A car is the easiest way to reach most of these towns; the bigger ones also have direct buses from Manzanillo. Each pueblo's page has its own getting-there notes.
Drive times are from OpenStreetMap routing without traffic. Times marked ~ are estimated from the distance and may run longer on mountain roads.
